  • corn oil: 1 glass
  • sugar: 1 glass
  • baking powder: 1 sachet
  • vanilla powder: ½ tsp
  • strained yoghurt: 1, low-fat
  • eggs: 3
  • orange: 1, the zest
  • phyllo dough: 1 packet
  • water: 3 glasses
  • orange: 1, the peel plus few drops juice
  • sugar: 2 glasses


  1. Put all the ingredients, except the phyllo dough, into a mixing bowl and stir thoroughly until well blended.

  2. With your hands shred the phyllo dough into small pieces (after removing from the fridge and bringing to room temperature) and incorporate into the mixture stirring thoroughly. Grease a 35 cm diameter baking tray with oil and pour the mixture in. Bake at 180° C until golden brown on top (for approximately 35΄).

  3. Prepare the syrup boiling all the ingredients together and stirring until slightly thickened. Allow the cake to cool and coat with the syrup. Set aside for 5΄ so that the cake soaks up the syrup and cut into squares. If desired, serve with a scoop of ice cream.
