  • Complexity: easy


  • slices of bread: 8 (better 2 -day-old)
  • evaporated milk: 500 gr
  • eggs: 3 yolks
  • sugar: 2 tsp
  • vanilla powder: ½ tsp
  • butter or oil: for frying


  1. Beat the eggs, the sugar, the vanilla and the milk in a bowl. Heat some butter or oil in a large pan.







  2. Dip each slice of bread into the egg-milk mixture one by one on both sides. Add as many slices of bread onto the pan as it will fit at a time.






  3. Fry them on both sides until they get gold brown. Serve them with honey, jam or dusted with sugar.
