4 winter Greek yogurt breakfast ideas

With all the vitamin goodness of dried fruit, nuts, cereal, honey, and citrus fruit

Yogurt is considered a superfood, because it is rich in lactic acid (which enhances calcium absorption in the gut), for its good bacteria, and for its vitamins (Α, Β1, Β2, Β6, C). It's not hard to understand why we must think of ways to make it a part of our winter breakfast, since it is also packed with calcium, phosphorus, and protein.

Raw, unsalted nuts, such as walnuts, almonds, peanuts, hazelnuts, etc, are rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins, and plant proteins. They are also rich in polyphenols, which help the body fight free radicals.

Oats and muesli are a top nutritional choice, packed with fiber and fill the body with energy, especially when it's colf. They have a low glycemic index (GI), and are absorbed slowly. They are also rich in B vitamins and minerals.

Honey, nature's gift, is the only sweetener rich in nutritious minerals, and gives instant energy.

Dried fruits, such as raisins, apricots, dates, prunes, etc, are rich in antioxidants, such as vitamins E and C, plus flavonoids and carotenoids. They are also a good source of iron, copper, selenium, and potassium.
